Actress and singer Brenda has previously moved the Loose Women panel with her perspective on bereavement
At this point, Brenda became noticeably emotional and brought to tears, as her co-stars offered comfort.
One viewer wrote: âI love Brenda Edwards, bless her for getting upset today on Loose Women. Sending my love. xx.â
Another added: â@loosewomen Lots of love & hugs to Brenda Edwards.â
A third shared: âMy heart aches for Brenda.â
While a fourth chimed in: âI donât believe there is a greater grief than losing your child, no matter the circumstances. I donât think you ever recover from that.â
A fifth commented: âOh dear thatâs incredibly difficult for Brenda today on #loosewomen.
âWe all have our triggers who what sets us off and there should be no judgement for how we individually deal with it.â
DJ and music entrepreneur Jamal tragically died from a cardiac arrest, brought on from cocaine and alcohol.
He gained fame from setting up new music platform SB.TV, which helped to launch Edâs career.
Last year, Brenda moved other members of the Loose Women panel when she shared her thoughts about bereavement.
She told Charlene White, Linda Robson and Gloria Hunniford: â I like to say the keep calm and carry on T-shirt is permanently with me.
âObviously everybody knows everything that Iâve been through, but itâs like you need a tool kit.â
The TV star elaborated how she believes you need different things to get you through trials in life.
Brenda explained: âYou might have a ladder because youâve got the ups and the downs, you might have a hammer because it just bashes you sometimes.
âAnd I like a spirit level to keep me on the straight line and youâve got to have some glue to try and put yourself back together after it.â
However, she went on to share, âObviously I have had some people message and say âitâs nice to see youâre moving on.â And Iâm definitely not moving on from anything.â
Brenda added: âIt gives me strength to remember, and it gives me strength to have a legacy to keep working on.
âMy family are so supportive and that means everything to me. Keep calm, keep smiling and carry on.â
And in 2023, Brenda broke down in tears as she emotionally reflected on being with Jamal when he passed away.
She tearfully described the moment her music producer son died at the age of 31 as âgut-wrenchingâ.
Brenda opened up about his devastating d@ath and her struggles with grief on Ashley Cainâs MTV show Faces, emotionally sharing that she was with her son when he died.
She spoke about the news of Jamalâs d@ath being shared online just hours after his d@ath, admitting she will never get over the âangerâ she felt at the announcement being taken away from her.

In a previous episode, the four women talked about how they âkeep calm and carry onâ and Brenda opened up about how she has dealt with difficult times
Speaking on the episode she said: âI was with Jamal when he passed, me and his sister and I can say he was so peaceful but it was a gut-wrenching moment for me.â
The former X Factor star went on to speak about the news of Jamalâs d@ath being circulated on social media before she was able to put out an announcement.
Brenda admitted she was âvery angryâ after seeing the news had broken on social media and said she doesnât think she will ever come to terms with the âdisrespectâ.
She continued: âThe one thing I didnât like was the announcement of him passing was taken away from me. I think people should have just had that respect for him and for me.
âThatâs nobody elseâs business, when I want to say whatever I want to say, then I should be able and I have the right to be announcing that. But that was taken out of my hands.
âI was angry, very angry. Itâs a shame because it took away from that moment of my grief to âwho did that?ââ It wasnât even 24 hours. This was on the same night, itâs like 5-6 hours afterwards.
âI canât process this because social media is going crazy. That was a bit of disrespect I donât think Iâll ever come to terms with.â
