So Thin She’s Almost Unrecognisable! Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Bring the BRITs to Tears — But Kelly’s Shockingly Slim Appearance Sparks Concern

It was the moment that silenced the arena.

At the 2026 BRIT Awards, the legacy of Ozzy Osbourne took centre stage as he was posthumously honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award — and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Stepping forward to accept the honour on his behalf were his wife Sharon Osbourne and daughter Kelly Osbourne, who delivered a speech filled with raw emotion, warmth and unmistakable Osbourne wit.

The pair were introduced by Dolly Parton in a pre-recorded message from Nashville before Robbie Williams closed the ceremony with a thunderous tribute performance alongside members of Ozzy’s band.

Ozzy, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, died in July last year aged 76 — just two weeks after performing an emotional farewell concert in his beloved hometown of Birmingham.

Visibly moved, Sharon lovingly described her late husband as “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet,” drawing affectionate laughter through tears from the crowd as Kelly stood proudly at her side.

“I’m honoured to accept this award from my gorgeous husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award. God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself,” Sharon said, her voice catching.

Reflecting on his remarkable rise, she told the audience: “He came from a small working class neighbourhood in Birmingham. He rose to become one of the most recognisable and respected musicians of his life, and he was filled with extraordinarily wonderful high times but very, very real low times.

“But he never stopped tirelessly pushing himself to do better. He always wanted to do better both personally and professionally.”

Despite decades spent touring the globe, Sharon made it clear where Ozzy’s heart truly belonged. “Ozzy’s heart never left England. Wherever we were in the world, he was always proud to be that working class Brummie, and he never let anyone forget it.”

She added that she was accepting the award not only for Ozzy, but also for their “incredible family,” his fellow musicians and the devoted fans who lined the streets of Birmingham during his memorial.

“So he may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”

Later, Kelly took the microphone, fighting back tears as she simply said: “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.”

Then, lightening the mood, she added: “And I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this. But up the villa and Birmingham,” prompting playful boos from the audience. Sharon laughed: “Knew you were gonna get that. I told you.”

However, while the tribute dominated headlines for its emotional weight, viewers at home were also quick to comment on Kelly’s appearance during the live broadcast.

Many fans took to social media to say the star appeared noticeably slimmer, with some describing her as “almost unrecognisable” and expressing concern that she looked “very thin.” Others admitted they initially struggled to recognise her as she stood beside her mother on stage.

The conversation reignited online debates about Kelly’s long-discussed body transformation, with some viewers voicing worry and others urging kindness, reminding critics that the focus of the night was honouring her father’s extraordinary legacy.

Despite the chatter, Kelly remained poised throughout the evening, her attention firmly fixed on celebrating Ozzy’s life rather than the scrutiny surrounding her own.

The emotional crescendo continued as Robbie fronted a one-night-only supergroup alongside Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde. Swapping his usual pop catalogue for hard rock, he delivered a powerful rendition of No More Tears as towering images of Ozzy lit up the arena behind him.

Fans flooded social media with praise, calling it “a fitting ending to the BRITs” and hailing Ozzy as the “one and only Prince of Darkness.”

Earlier in the evening, Sharon told reporters that becoming a grandmother has been “the whole reason to keep going” since Ozzy’s passing, as son Jack prepares to welcome his fifth child. Both Sharon and Kelly wore subtle but deeply personal tributes — Sharon in a bat-shaped brooch Ozzy always wore, and Kelly in one of his crucifixes.

A family united in grief. A nation remembering. And a legend whose legacy — despite the tears, the tributes and even the headlines — will never fade.
