Kym Marsh has melted hearts after sharing a rare and deeply personal glimpse into her family life, posting a sweet photo alongside her lookalike daughter Polly to celebrate her milestone 15th birthday.
The former Coronation Street star, 49, took to social media to mark the special day with a touching tribute, as the pair beamed during a birthday meal out. But it was Kym’s heartfelt message — raw, honest, and full of love — that truly captured attention.
She gushed that her daughter means everything to her, admitting that while Polly can be “a pain in the bum at times,” she wouldn’t change a thing. Kym went on to call Polly her “rainbow baby” and described her as “the light in my darkness,” adding that she is endlessly proud of the young woman her daughter is becoming and excited to see what the future holds.
She also didn’t hold back her emotions, wishing her “amazing, beautiful, funny, feisty” daughter a happy birthday and declaring her love would last “always and forever.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments, not only wishing Polly a happy birthday but also pointing out the striking resemblance between mother and daughter. Many remarked that Polly looks just like her mum, with some even joking that the two could pass as sisters.
Kym shares Polly with her ex-partner Jamie Lomas, and the pair have maintained a united front when it comes to their daughter. Last year, they reunited publicly to celebrate Polly’s 14th birthday, posing together proudly on either side of their teenage daughter.
Their relationship, however, has had its ups and downs. After meeting in 2007 and marrying in 2012, they separated just a year later and finalised their divorce in 2014. At the time, a source revealed that Kym had believed their relationship would last, despite difficulties, and was left heartbroken when Jamie ended things.
Kym has since experienced further highs and lows in her love life. She married soldier Scott Ratcliff in 2021, but the couple split in 2023 after struggling with the pressures of their careers. She later entered a whirlwind romance with Samuel Thomas, who is 19 years her junior, though that relationship reportedly ended after just six months.
Through it all, however, one thing has remained constant — her devotion to her children. And in this latest post, it’s clear that Polly continues to be at the very centre of Kym’s world.
