BREAKING: ‘What more can this family take?’: Limerick cousin of Scarlett and Jason Faulkner seriously injured

A YOUNG cousin of the late Jason and Scarlett Faulkner has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision, Limerick Live has learned.

The road traffic incident is understood to have occurred in Northern Ireland this Sunday morning. The boy is believed to be a primary school pupil in Limerick city.

There are unconfirmed reports that another juvenile has died in the same traffic collision. The Police Service of Northern Ireland has been contacted for comment by Limerick Live.

Victoria Faulkner, a sister of Scarlett and Jason who were laid to rest a week apart, posted on social media: “Lads, can everyone of ye please just pray for my beautiful baby cousin who was in a very bad car accident. Please god I know you can do this.”

Victoria, in a further post, wrote: “God, please our family can’t go through anymore. Please God, I am begging you to say he will be alright. Please share everyone. God I know you can do this.”

Josephine (Joanne) Duffy, the partner of Jason and Scarlett’s brother Thomas, posted: “Please Jesus, what more can this family take.”

Scarlett Faulkner, aged 29, passed away in Cork University Hospital three weeks after she was assaulted at the side of the road in Birdhill on March 21.

Older brother Jason, 34, who was a pallbearer at Scarlett’s funeral, tragically passed away two days later on Sunday, April 19. Jason was laid to rest with Scarlett in Meelick Cemetery on Friday – exactly a week after Scarlett’s funeral.
