Adam Thomas has spoken out about his experience in the Iām A Celebrity camp, shedding light on exactly what transpired between him and former boxer David Haye. The pair became embroiled in a bullying row on the ITV programme, and soap star Adam has now broken his silence. The actor revealed he feels ādead inside and numbā, claiming he would not have returned to the show even if offered āĀ£10millionā, stating the ordeal has āeaten away at his soul.ā Adam admitted he felt the colour ādrain from his faceā when Ant and Dec announced him as the winner, as his worst nightmare came true.
While David is reportedly planning to sue the broadcaster over their portrayal of him in camp, Adam maintains that the footage aired reflected the truth. He also disclosed that David, who insists his alleged ābullyingā was nothing but ābanterā, reached out to him over the weekend. Speaking on The Thomas Broās podcast alongside brothers Scott and Ryan Thomas, Adam said: āThe most disturbing is that I look at David and even after the show and after everything he did, you know he sent me a voice note and was like āoh mate, what a great show that was. Iām so happy you won. Congratulations.āā

He then revealed the blunt response he fired back to his former campmate. āI just sent him a message back just saying, you know, āI think this is where we draw the line and I hope that you find happiness bro, but Iām done.āā Adam said: āThe relationship with me and David is even after the camp, even after he told me [out of camp] āyouāre the nicest guy Iāve ever met and I just wanted to break youā, like, itās cool. He apologised. I moved onā, reports the Mirror.
āYou know, we had voice messages back and forth, and weād just been bantering and having a laugh. Iād just put it all to bed. I think for David and some of the campmates that have come out and been on the live show and everything, I feel like itās just a show for them. Itās entertainment. Itās fun. For me, itās not about entertainment. Iām not playing a character or here for anyone elseās agenda. Iām just here to have a laugh and have fun, and enjoy this experience.ā
The actor claimed he felt āexploitedā during the live show. āI think you can see at the end of it, I felt like I was just in the midst of it all, and it wasnāt even about me.ā
During camp, David faced criticism for labelling Adam āuselessā after he opted out of a trial owing to a medical condition. Meanwhile, Adam and Jimmy clashed when Jimmy pulled out of a trial, putting Adam at risk of early elimination.
Despite the programme being recorded months beforehand, tensions between the trio had not subsided. On Friday, as Adam was crowned champion, Haye allegedly taunted the star saying: āYouāre not a worthy winner,ā before Adam hit back: āThis is bullying.ā Gemma Collins rallied behind Adam following his victory, taking aim at the conduct of both David and Jimmy. Posting a picture of the winner sporting his crown, an outraged Gemma declared: āWhat a show up!!! Absolutely disgusted with Jimmy and Davidās behaviour, the biggest show up in TV history!!! What an embarrassment! To all who took part in the show, it was a discredit to the production crew, cast, Ant and Decās biggest disrespect ever!
āLast night was meant to be a celebration, but it was very upsetting!! X Letās hope Adam will find some energy to absorb his victory!ā
