Sheinelle Jones, the beloved star of Today, is facing a gut-wrenching milestone—her first birthday without her late husband, Uche Ojeh, who tragically passed away in May 2025.
April 19th marked Sheinelle’s 48th birthday, and the emotional weight of the day was evident as she took to Instagram to share her raw emotions with her fans.
With tears streaming down her face, she wrote:
“Today is my 48th birthday, and to be honest, I can’t stop crying.”
Reflecting on the love and support she’s received, Sheinelle shared, “These are thankful tears, painful tears because it’s my first without Uche. And tears full of gratitude reflecting on the last seven days.”
She went on to express how overwhelmed she’s been by the outpouring of love from fans, saying, “I’ve never felt so much love in my life.” She continued, “Thank you for the prayers and support over the last year. I can’t even find the words to describe how it feels to have sold-out crowds in every city and how it feels to take these group photos with your smiling faces.”
Despite the heartache, Sheinelle shared a moment of reflection, remembering Uche’s love for The Beatles, writing: “Uche loved The Beatles; as I mark the beginning of 48, I do… feel the sun. Thank you so so much.”
