Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana Ramsay have spoken candidly about family conflict, admitting that even in their own lives, feuds leave lasting scars — as tensions surrounding the Peaty family continue to overshadow the wedding of Holly Ramsay and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
The couple tied the knot in a glittering ceremony in Bath, attended by Gordon and Tana, but notably missing most of Adam’s immediate family following a bitter fallout. Ahead of the wedding, Adam and Holly released a joint statement addressing what they described as damaging narratives pushed by relatives.

They said the situation had become “almost entirely one-sided” and, in many cases, “excessive and intrusive,” adding that it had been deeply hurtful to read claims they believe were based on falsehoods. Adam went on to say that matters were made worse because the situation had been encouraged by members of his own family.
He added that he, Holly and his sister Bethany could not go into details due to an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that pre-dated the wedding.
Speaking to the Mail, Gordon revealed he still hopes for reconciliation. He said he would like to travel with Tana to Nottingham to “draw a line in the sand,” but stressed that Adam and Holly had asked for certain family members not to attend the wedding — a wish the Ramsays felt obliged to respect.
Gordon explained that while there were issues Adam’s parents needed to resolve themselves, he and Tana were focused on helping the newlyweds move forward and start their life together without further negativity.
Tana, meanwhile, reflected on her own painful family history, admitting she knows first-hand how destructive fallouts can be. Nearly a decade ago, her father Christopher was jailed after being convicted of conspiring to hack into a computer system linked to Gordon’s businesses.

She said her family had endured its own periods of estrangement, adding there were “no winners” in such situations. While she was grateful they had eventually rebuilt relationships, she acknowledged that reconciliation does not always mean closeness — sometimes, civility is enough.
“You can’t be happy when there’s a fallout going on,” she said, admitting that ongoing conflict is emotionally draining and leaves everyone affected.
The Peaty family feud became public on Adam and Holly’s wedding day, when Adam’s mother Caroline gave an emotional interview claiming her heart had been “cut out” and describing her family as broken following the wedding.
Despite the tension, Adam and Holly exchanged vows surrounded by Gordon and Tana, with only Adam’s sister Bethany present from his side of the family, alongside a host of celebrity guests and close friends — marking a joyful beginning shadowed by unresolved family pain.
