Sally Nugent gasped âweâll be in trouble!â and cried out for Carol Kirwoodâs help after an awkward Children In Need gaffe live on Tuesdayâs episode of BBC Breakfast.
The 54-year-old returned to the red sofa for the latest instalment of the show alongside her co-host Jon Kay, 56.
The pair discussed the latest news and headlines, including how Doctor Who fans can get their hands on props and memorabilia from the BBC series.
Some pieces on offer include a sonic screwdriver, Bonnie Langfordâs Vespa and a live-size Tardis.
Jon explained: âItâs the first time these items have gone on saleâŚâ
He then continued: âGood news, all the profits, whoever buys them, however much they spendâŚâ

Sally joked: âWeâll be in trouble!â and then went on to hand over to her co-star Carol who was about to present her weather segment
He then realised that he had slipped up and confessed: âOh. Not all the profits, some of the profits⌠go to Children in Need.â
Sally added: âWeâve just made it all of the profits, so there we go!â
âNow theyâve got to give all of the money, weâve forced them,â Jon explained.
Sally gasped: âWeâll be in trouble!â and then went on to hand over to her co-star Carol, who was about to present her weather segment.
She added: âCarol, help!â
Carol confessed: âI donât know, quite fancy the Dalek or the Tardis!â
A shocked Sally asked: âWould you?!â
âYou fancy a Dalek?!â Jon asked her.

Sally told him: âOh Jon, donât say that.â
It comes after Carol fought back tears as she revealed last Tuesday that she will leave the BBC in April after more than 25 years with the broadcaster.
The star struggled to get her words out as she announced the news on BBC Breakfast this morning â immediately after delivering the latest on Storm Chandra.
Met Office-trained Carol choked up as she joined presenters Sally and Jon on the programmeâs sofa and said: âSo, Iâm going to be leaving â and itâs really hard, really hard for me to say this because I love my job.
âBut itâs great â I donât want to be coming in in my Zimmer frame and saying, âI canât reach the Northern Isles anymore!â.â
Carol, who hails from Morar on the west coast of Scotland near the Isle of Skye, says she plans to spend more time with her husband, police officer Steve Randall, whom she wed at the end of 2023.
âWe only got married a couple of years ago and weâre ships that pass in the night so Iâm so looking forward to doing that,â she said, adding that the pair hope to travel, and she will be able to spend more time writing novels, having already published five.
Carol had kept the news of her departure secret from everyone â including her friends and her colleagues at BBC Breakfast.
She added with a smile: âI love my job, Iâve loved working at the BBC, but I love my husband more than my job.â
Turning to Sally and Jon, she added: âI didnât want to get emotional but you two are my friends and I love you dearly.â
As Carol finished delivering the news, Sally held her hand and Jon reached for a box of tissues, before both giving her a tight hug.
Sally joked: âThereâs one important thing that we havenât mentioned, which is that you are going to get a lie in.â
